Ages Past Proposal

My proposal for the overall history of the world, some details to be left blank and later clarified.

The Age Existantium

In the beginning there was much nothing, concentrated in one single point. And then, by some unknown means, this nothing exploded into something. Matter and energy expanded outward rapidly, forming eventually into celestial bodies.

Unlike our world, with this surge came an energy unfamiliar to some universes. This energy, mana, flowed outward eternally and infinitely from the font of creation. It imbued the world with the gift of magic, taking form to reflect the material world around it.

The Age Preconscience

Over time, life began to take form on the world known now to us as Terre. And this life attracted the mana. Thus with life came the first gods. Representing raw nature and primordial life, they took the form of great forces and beasts.

The Age Anvant

From more simple beasts eventually came the first sapient creatures. First came the elves, to be followed soon by many others. The elves taught and shared their knowledge with all. And so soon became the gods unbroken. Gods who were conscious and thinking. Gods who took on forms as much ethereal and strange as the were to appear mortal in some form or emotion.

The Age L'histoiria

As the gods unbroken granted their blessings to mortals in return for mortal praise so one god grew jealous of the great power of the others. A god of craft, they envied the natural powers; for what use was he to mortals when his gifts paled in comparison. And so unto them he devised and granted knowledge of tools that would allow the dominance of nature and people. Tools of farming, tools of war, and principles to go with them. And so as people abandoned the natural gifts to forge their own path, still in line with their gods, the rise and fall of societies began in earnest.
